Program and Event Bookings

  • Attendance at events delivered by Mid-Western Regional Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recording. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending a session, you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image to be published, please notify library staff when arriving at the event.
  • We will not be able to accommodate participants who have not made a booking.
  • Library events are strictly for the specified age range. Tickets booked for persons outside the age range will be cancelled and if applicable, ticket costs refunded (excluding booking fees).
  • If you are unwell or no longer able to attend an event, we ask that you please notify the library as soon as possible. Places are often waitlisted and this allows your spot to be offered to another attendee.
  • Three (3) unexplained absences for recurring events will result in your booking being cancelled.
  • Please be aware there is a minimum number of attendees required to run our programs. Unfortunately, if this number is not reached, we may have to cancel at short notice.
  • Gifts to library staff may only be accepted in accordance with Council's Gifts and Benefits Policy.

Early Childhood Programs:

  • For a variety of reasons, sometimes your child may not want to be at an event and might become distressed - staff understand this and are not offended if you make the decision to remove your child during a session.
  • Children must be accompanied in the library, whether during or outside of a children's program.
  • Small children should not use the toilet facilities unaccompanied. The toilet doors are quite heavy, and apart from toilet accidents which are distressing to children, library staff are concerned that children often become disoriented on leaving the facilities and head in the wrong direction - at Mudgee Library, this brings them to the front door in a matter of seconds.
  • If you or your child - including siblings - are unwell, we ask that you give us a call and don't attend.
  • Please limit conversations between parents/carers and the use of mobile phones during children's programs. We encourage parents/carers to be involved with their children in all sessions - distractions are unsettling for children, the facilitator, and other parents.
  • Sessions will commence on time. If you arrive late to a session and a story has already started, please do not enter the children's area until the story has finished to avoid disturbing others in the group.

Early Childhood Programs:

  • Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied to and from the event and parents/carers must complete the sign in sheet prior to the session starting.
  • For the privacy, safety and focus of all participants, parents/carers are required to remain outside of the event space during sessions. If your child requires an accredited support worker, please contact library staff in advance.
